As everyone else, I am guilty of making irrational decisions when "sales" are dangled in front of my face like a greasy piece of pizza. But lets be real - we just end up buying things that we don't really need. I hope everyone considers thoughtful shopping this year. The holiday season has begun.
If you decide to shop:
1. Buy something for someone else. I mean that's why these "sales" were created right? For gifts?
2. Donate or even sell an equivalent item (s) before buying something for yourself.
3. Just make sure it is something you really need.
Major kudos to companies like Everlane, who decided to donate proceeds to bettering the employee experience at their silk factory in China instead of hosting a sale. Now these are the type of companies that drive inspiration for this project.
